Just found out that I have won a place in Kylie Fowler's new class "Journal Playground'' which starts on 1st Feb. I am super excited and can't wait to begin.

Fabulous Faces – Workshop Part 1

I enrolled in Tamara Laporte's  Fabulous Faces Workshop.  Super excited! It is a self-paced course, covering many aspects of portraiture in a comprehensive, encouraging way. Tam is a fantastic teacher.  Week 1 is all about drawing & shading a front facing portrait in graphite. Here is my first attempt.

Summer of Color: Week 6 (Final)

This week's colour palette is:    1 Orange + 1 Orange + 1 Blue

For this challenge I used:

Dylusions Paint: Squeezed orange

Prismacolor Pencil: Cadmium Orange Hue

Dylusions Paint: Vibrant Turquoise 

Prepared journal with layer of Gesso
Then added my first layer of  paint

Preparing Background for next layer

Sketched on design in pencil.
Added turquoise paint to background with a baby wipe

Oulined & added text:

You are precious in every way
the sunshine in my day
the joy in my soul
and the love of my life

Added texture with stamps, paint, ink.
